Monday, July 1st was an afternoon full of celebration at Logan Memorial Hospital.

Logan County Chamber of Commerce members, hospital staff, and the community gathered at the newly renovated emergency room for tours and refreshments. Wonderful conversations were held during the grand opening.

The event led off with kind words from Chamber president and hospital board member, Ethan Holloway, who is excited to see strong changes being made to better our community.

Following Ethan, was Interim CEO, David Brash, who shared with everyone that within the last year Logan Memorial emergency room serviced over 12,000 patients.

The 4 million dollar investment has allowed new renovations to expand treatment areas that now include a new decontamination room, nursing station, safe room and isolation room.

Dr. Zan Lee D.O., ED Medical Director, followed with a short statement recapping his two years of service at LMH. He has seen a great need in rural communities for emergency care to be delivered effectively and efficiently. He touched on how the new renovations increase the safety for not only the patients but the staff as well with the new 10 bed facility.

Included in the festivities, Life Point Health, of which Logan Memorial Hospital is a part, donated $2,000 to American Red Cross. If you’re in need of medical provider, be sure to visit www.LoganMemorial.com
