Shawn attained his Bachelor of Science | Engineering Science and Mechanics Degree from Virginia Tech in 1996. Upon graduation, he began his career in construction as a project manager for a general contractor in his hometown of Tazewell, Virginia. He then went on to work as an Estimator for Construction Managers in Raleigh, North Carolina and Savannah Georgia. Shawn gained 10 years of experience in construction before joining Batten | Shaw in 2006.
As Lean Manager, Shawn is responsible for leading Lean Initiatives throughout the company by helping to develop a Lean Culture and improve Operational Efficiencies.
