Our History

History

Batten Shaw Construction was founded in 1988 by Jimmy Batten and Danny Shaw. United by a shared commitment to excellence and hard work, they built a lasting partnership and established a company grounded in delivering quality and value on every project. From the beginning, their approach emphasized deep knowledge of each project, strong and enduring client relationships, leadership guided by integrity, and a dedication to continuous improvement. These founding principles shaped the company’s culture and continue to define Batten Shaw today.

Post 2020

In 2020, Worth Scott and Aaron Talbot assumed leadership of Batten Shaw Construction, stepping into the roles of President and Executive Vice President, respectively. The following year, they acquired the ownership shares of founders Jimmy Batten and Danny Shaw, becoming the majority shareholders and owners of the company.

Guided by Batten Shaw’s long-standing commitment to building to make life better, Worth and Aaron have led the company into a new chapter of growth. Under their leadership, Batten Shaw has expanded into a diverse project portfolio while remaining firmly rooted in the core values that have defined the company since its founding.
